About The Workshop

Nature's Collage: Exploring Mixed Media and Collage in the Arboreal Landscape

Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and the boundless possibilities of mixed media collage in our Nature's Collage workshop! This hands-on experience invites you to journey through forests of creativity as you blend found and created papers, textures, and patterns to create stunning artworks inspired by trees and the natural world.

Throughout this dynamic workshop, you'll learn the art of collage from an experienced instructor who will guide you through techniques for creating interesting textures and captivating patterns. Using a variety of materials such as recycled papers, fabric scraps, found and created papers and natural elements, you'll explore the rich depth and visual interest that mixed media collage offers. From the delicate branches of a dogwood tree to the lush foliage of the local forested landscape, you'll draw inspiration from nature's diversity to inform your artistic creations.

Whether you're drawn to the serene elegance of minimalist compositions or the vibrant energy of abstract expressionism, this workshop provides a supportive environment for you to explore your unique artistic voice. Through hands-on demonstrations and personalized guidance, you'll experiment with creating patterned paper, layering, tearing, and embellishing to achieve dynamic textures and compelling visual narratives.

By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a collection of original mixed media collages that reflect your personal connection to nature and the creative possibilities of collage art. Join us as we celebrate the beautyof trees and embark on a journey of artistic exploration and self-discovery!
