Blacksmithing

This course is designed to introduce students to the essential blacksmithing techniques involved in making functional tools. The process of forging is an exercise in precision, efficiency, and problem-solving, and along the way, students will develop fundamental skills that apply to a wide range of blacksmithing projects.

• Drawing out: Extending metal to create the desired shape

• Upsetting: Thickening sections of metal for strength where needed

• Punching & Drifting: Creating holes and refining them for rivets
